That's right... he's finally here! Not much time to post right now as you can imagine, but here's a look at the newest member of our family:

Goodmorning Cows

Here's a video of Ben greeting the cows out in the pasture one morning... he loves his animal noises!

Our Big Backyard

Now that the weather is nice, it's fun to let Ben go outside and play. However, because our baby is due in a week (I'm huge) and I have a bum leg it's hard to take him out because that requires me to constantly chase him around since we don't have a fenced yard of any kind. Therefore, I've created a backyard of sorts for him to play in. We have a small back patio where I've stored my flower pots and it's completely fenced; so this is where he gets to roam free. There's not much room for "roaming" but he sure has fun playing in the dirt! Here is the mess he gleefully created yesterday afternoon...

Dancing

I thought I'd share this little clip of Ben dancing in his jammies to "Old McDonald". He likes to dance and, although this video doesn't show it, he usually spins in circles and sometimes pats himself on the head to compliment the bouncing and waving of the arm. It's quite entertaining to watch! I guess Brian and I will have to introduce him to swing dancing before too long. Hope you enjoy.

A Welcome Tease

Last month we had some very welcome Spring-like weather (which didn't last long I might add) so Ben and I tried to take advantage of it as much as we could. Here are some pics of a picnic in the park we had. As you can imagine, our adventurous boy had a blast exploring and playing. He's also learning to run so the open field was quite exciting for him. I can't wait for the warm summer weather to arrive so we can get him outdoors more. He's at an age now where he'll really enjoy himself. Anyway, hope you enjoy the photos.

He loves the swing!

Here he discovered how to go up the stairs and down the slide all by himself (a real short slide). It was quite enjoyable for me just to be able to sit back and watch!

Playing with Papa

First of all I'd like to apologize for not having posted in over a month... I'm so neglectful!

In any case, here we are and I have a few photos to share. A while ago Brian transformed one of our Costco boxes into a sled for Ben. He likes to get pulled around the house (especially by Papa who goes really fast). A few weeks ago I captured some of the fun on camera and just thought I'd share.
